Legionnaire Jimmy Pilet
As a tribute, we are honoring a true “CHAMPION” AND “LEADER” of American Legion Ed Brauner Post 307. Jimmy supported and served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1965 to 1968. He completed his service in 1968 and received an Honorable Discharge. Jimmy was an amazing leader and supported Post 307 for over 13 years. He served as Post Commander from 2015 through 2017. He continued to support the Post as Adjutant-Administrative Officer and Historian. Jimmy kept the operations of the Post running for over 8 years. In addition to these duties, Jimmy was responsible for our monthly newsletter. Our newsletter was recognized by the Departmental Louisiana American Legion and received awards for the outstanding publication. In his spare time, he also served as our Post photographer and maintained our Post Facebook page. This is just a few contributions this amazing man had made to Post 307. We salute you, Jimmy Pilet. You will be sorely missed by your many friends and remembered as a dedicated, Legionnaire to Ed Brauner Post 307.
To our dear friend and US Marine, we say “SEMPER FI”
